What is the IVTC Veterinary Medicine Program?

Vida’s International Veterinary Training Center (IVTC) in Costa Rica is dedicated to providing high quality, ethical spay and neuters to local animals in need, by providing free-of-charge services to Costa Rican animal shelters. The IVTC offers a limited number of positions to participate in the IVTC in order to ensure a more intimate clinical setting for a hands on learning experience.

As an IVTC participant, you will be helping to control overpopulation and improve the quality of life for local animals that really need your support, without you, they may not receive adequate care. You will be working directly with our lead veterinarian in our top of the line equipped facility, in beautiful Costa Rica. You will receive instructions from our highly qualified doctors to actively participate and assist in all clinic activities. You will also have time to explore Costa Rica’s amazing biodiversity, visit local animal shelters and practice wildlife medicine.  You will get a unique inside look into local shelters and wildlife refuges
