About Us

About Us

This wonderful dream now involves hundreds of collaborators in numerous countries. From rural community leaders, to local doctors, dentists and veterinarians who are all looking to make a positive difference in underserved communities with little to no access to healthcare. Our story began in 2008 when Vida Volunteer was founded to be a resource students could depend on to support their cause of helping fellow human beings and animals. Our organization has evolved from those early days but our program still embodies that original “Vida” spirit.

We are still aiming to bring people together through Service-Learning experiences that emphasize on cultural integration and opening of the mind and heart to global human and animal healthcare issues. Over the years, we have welcomed over 10.000 students and thanks to their support and hard work, we have been able to assist more than 200.000 patients and over 100.000 animals since 2008.

We currently intervene through three main fields of work: Medical, Dental and Veterinary, which are designed to promote health, ensuring a long-lasting impact while students develop both intercultural & leadership skills in a real-world context.

Vida offers a unique positive learning environment that will completely change your perspective on the idea of serving others.

We partner up with every community that we service. In other words, we not only provide follow-up visits throughout the year, we also support local initiatives to address specific issues that affect our communities.
